Dear Diary,
This morning, my parents woke me up at six to go hiking at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. I was so annoyed. It was a Saturday, and I (1) be supposed to be sleeping in!
The trail was quite (2) straneous and my legs were aching badly. I (3) okasionally stopped to catch my breath, I kept telling Dad I wanted to turn back, (4) so he just ignored me and kept walking. I felt a growing frustration as I struggled to keep up.
Then suddenly, I spotted something in the branches above me. It was a Raffles’ banded langur, a rare black and white monkey found only in Singapore’s forests. I immediately froze and held my breath. It ws (5) unduldtedli the coolest thing I had ever seen in my whole life.
After that, I started (6) notice the surroundings properly – the sounds, the colours and the cool breeze. I could not believe I had almost missed all of this.
